Affiliate Disclosure
How NomadToolsLab makes money, in plain language.
The short version
Some links on NomadToolsLab are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That is how this site stays online and ad-free.
I only recommend tools, gear, and services I have personally tested or trust deeply through my network of long-term nomads. No paid placements. No pay-to-play reviews. If a product is on this site, it earned its spot.
The long version
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a special URL that tracks when a visitor clicks through to a partner site and makes a purchase. The partner pays a small percentage to the referrer as a thank you for sending the visitor. The price you pay does not change.

How I review products
Every product reviewed on NomadToolsLab has been either personally tested by me or vetted through my network of long-term nomads with hands-on experience. I do not write reviews based on press releases or marketing materials.
If a product is bad, I either do not write about it or I explain clearly what is wrong. Honesty is the only thing that keeps a review site like this useful, and I take that seriously.
Amazon affiliate disclosure
NomadToolsLab is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and partner sites.
