Chiang Mai has one of the highest densities of coworking spaces anywhere in Southeast Asia, which is exactly why picking the wrong one wastes money on a membership you barely use.
Yellow, Alt Chiang Mai, and Punspace compared

| Space | Day rate | Month rate | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yellow | 429 THB | 5990 THB | Fast wifi, quiet focus work, 24-hour access |
| Alt Chiang Mai | 320 THB | 4000 THB | Community events, good coffee |
| Punspace | 289 THB | 3899 THB | Budget with a social outdoor area |
Yellow has large desks, plenty of outlets, and a genuinely quiet floor, the tradeoff is the standing call booths get warm without much airflow. Alt Chiang Mai’s community events are worth it if you actually want to network, less so if you just need a quiet desk, and it costs more than Punspace for similar core amenities.
A day pass before committing to a monthly membership is worth the extra baht. Wifi speed test results online rarely match what a space delivers during peak Bangkok-timezone call hours, when everyone is on a video call at once.
Budget options: Hub53, Life Space, Socialer
Hub53 runs about 189 THB per day with an active community but small, cramped tables. Life Space is cheaper still at 180 THB per day with a quiet library feel, though power outlets are limited, worth bringing a portable battery. Socialer is the cheapest but has a hostel-like, mismatched-furniture feel that some people like and others find distracting.
What could be better
None of these spaces guarantee wifi speed in writing, actual performance varies by time of day and how many people are on video calls. Budget options save money but consistently trade off outlet availability or seating comfort. If your work depends on uninterrupted video calls, it’s worth testing a day pass during your actual working hours before committing to a monthly plan.
