What Rikst Jewelry is
Every piece is made by one person: Rikst herself. She wraps a single, hand-picked stone in wire, mostly nickel-free brass, sometimes silver-plated wire. No production line, no templates. Every piece on the site is one of one. Her name, she writes, means "mighty, powerful, and substantial" in her Frisian roots.
And she doesn't have one home base either. On her About page she says she creates and ships internationally while living between different places. A travelling maker making pieces for travelling women.
How a piece of handmade gemstone jewelry comes to life
- She chooses the stones herself, for quality and character: labradorite, lapis lazuli, citrine, chrysocolla, larimar, ocean jasper, blue tiger eye, rainbow obsidian, mahogany obsidian, dark jade, Mexican turquoise, black onyx and more.
- She starts with a conversation. For a made-to-order piece, Rikst talks with you first about where you are in life and what you need to feel. Stronger? Calmer? More like yourself again? From there she picks the stone.
A note on crystals, honestly. We are a tools site. There is no scientific proof that stones heal or change your life. What they do have is centuries of meaning: lapis lazuli is traditionally linked to truth and self-expression, labradorite to change and new chapters. Whether you believe in crystal energy or simply love a beautiful stone, the meaning is yours to give it.

Two ways to buy
1. Ready-made pieces. The shop has existing designs, each still unique because no two stones are the same. Prices at the time of writing (2026-09-29, in euros):

2. A custom commission. The made-to-order route works fully remotely. According to her commissions page:
- Send a request to hello@rikstjewelry.com with the subject "Request Customized Piece", or message @rikst.jewelry on Instagram.
- Share your intention: what you're looking for, size, stone and metal if you know it, and your budget.
- Choose your stone from her available gemstones (currently from €25 for the stone itself). The final price depends on stone and design.
- Pay a 20% deposit. Non-refundable, it confirms the commission.
- She makes it in up to 15 working days. The remaining 80% is due before shipping, within one month. The FAQ mentions payment plans on request.
Shipping when you don't have a fixed address
- Ships internationally with a tracking code by email.
- Processing: a few business days for ready-made (the FAQ says 3 to 5, the shipping policy 5 to 7), up to 15 for made-to-order.
- Delivery: standard tracked 7 to 15 workdays, DHL Express 3 to 7 workdays.
- Free shipping over €250. Customs duties or import tax in your country are on the buyer.
Our nomad tips
- Order to a place you'll still be at in three weeks: a coworking space, a longer-stay apartment or a friend's address.
- Short stay? DHL Express is the safer bet.
- Custom piece? Tell Rikst your travel plans in the first message.
Will it survive life on the road?
- Brass is nickel-free and hypoallergenic. Silver-plated and alpaca wire pieces do contain nickel.
- Brass patinas over time. A soft cloth, brass polish or a bit of lemon juice brings the shine back.
- Take it off for water, perfume and workouts. No ocean, sauna or surf sessions.
- Store it dry in its own pouch so keys and chargers don't scratch the stone.
- Bracelets are adjustable, and necklaces come with an adjustable brass chain in three lengths (40 to 45 cm, 50 to 55 cm, 80 to 85 cm), at least on the necklaces we checked.
- Repairs regardless of purchase date; you pay the shipping. Returns within 14 days if unworn; sale and custom pieces can't be returned.
