What To Watch Out For
The deposit. The supplier can block a large deposit on your card at pickup, and they want a real credit card for it. When I rented in Portugal, the deposit was really expensive. Check the supplier's deposit amount on the DiscoverCars booking page before you pay, and bring an actual credit card.
Damage claims. Photograph and film every panel at pickup and at return. That habit saved me from extra charges in Portugal.
