Anker vs UGREEN power bank: both hold 25,000 mAh, but the Anker lists 165 W and two built-in cables, while the UGREEN lists 145 W and a 65 W recharge. We read both makers' pages and both Amazon listings on 5 October 2026. The numbers below are what the makers say.

Quick answer

Checked on 9 October 2026. Choose the Anker if you want cables you cannot leave at home: it has two built-in retractable USB-C cables and lists 165 W in total. Choose the UGREEN if 145 W is enough and you want a plain three-port bank that lists a 65 W recharge. Whichever you pick, airlines count watt-hours, not mAh, and the new international rules allow two power banks per person and no recharging in flight.

How we compared them

The NomadsToolsLab team read Anker's and UGREEN's product pages and both Amazon listings on 5 October 2026, and went back to the maker pages and the Amazon buy buttons on 9 October 2026 to see what had changed. What stood out: Anker's own footnote says three or four devices at once share 130 W, not 165 W, and its page says 30 to 45 percent of the capacity is lost in conversion, which leaves 13,750 to 17,500 mAh of the 25,000 mAh.

Testers at Can Buy or Not found the Anker full in about two hours on a 100 W charger and in line with its 165 W for two devices and 130 W for three or four (their unit came from Anker). Mighty Gadget measured the UGREEN 145W at 89 W into a 100 W lamp on its main port and scored it 90 percent, though against the Anker 737, not this Anker. In his test, Ted Tengo ran two devices off the UGREEN for 30 minutes and saw the output slide from about 142 W to about 88 W, which he puts down to heat. Every number in the table comes from the makers' own pages.

Anker vs UGREEN power bank at a glance

In short: Same capacity, different layout. The Anker adds built-in cables and a higher total output; the UGREEN keeps a simpler design.

Both are 25,000 mAh. Weight: Anker lists 595 g and UGREEN lists 513 g. Recharge times are the makers' own, with a 100 W charger for the Anker and a 65 W charger for the UGREEN.

One honest note on capacity. Anker says that energy loss while charging cuts the capacity by 30% to 45%, so a full 25,000 mAh pack typically delivers about 13,750 to 17,500 mAh.

1. Anker Laptop Power Bank 165W: built-in cables

In short: The pick for people who forget cables. Model A1695 lists 165 W total, up to 100 W per USB-C output, and two built-in retractable cables.

The Anker Laptop Power Bank (A1695) lists three USB-C outputs, two of them built-in retractable cables, with up to 100 W each. Its page says the total is 165 W, but footnote 2 adds that three or four devices share a maximum of 130 W, and only two devices get up to 165 W.

Recharging: Anker says it takes input up to 100 W and about 2 hours with a 100 W or higher charger at 25 C (77 F). The 100 W peak only applies when the battery is above 25%. It is 156.97 x 53.85 x 49.02 mm and 595 g.

Flights: the page carries a "Flight-Approved" label but prints no watt-hour figure, and we found no warranty term on the product page, only a "Hassle-Free Warranty" label. Check both with Anker before you rely on them.

2. UGREEN Nexode 145W: the plain three-port bank

In short: A simpler bank. UGREEN lists 145 W maximum, 140 W from the main port and a 65 W recharge, with a digital display.

For the UGREEN Nexode 145W power bank, UGREEN lists "145W MAX Charge", "140W Charge", "65W Recharge", 25,000 mAh, a digital display and a trickle charging mode for small devices. Its Amazon listing adds that the main USB-C1 port gives up to 140 W, that a 65 W PD charger refills it in about 2 hours and a 20 W adapter takes up to 6 hours, and that a 5 A USB-C cable is included.

The same listing says it can recharge a laptop up to 1.3 times. UGREEN's US site banner shows a 2-year product warranty. UGREEN's own spec table lists the 25,000 mAh as 90 Wh and the weight as 513 g.

What UGREEN says

  • 25,000 mAh, listed as 90 Wh
  • USB-C1 up to 140 W and USB-C2 up to 100 W, plus one USB-A
  • Recharges through either USB-C port at up to 65 W
  • TFT display on the front

If 145 W is not enough, look at UGREEN's 200 W model (SKU 35525). It is the same 25,000 mAh, and UGREEN's spec table lists a TFT display for it and an LED display for the 145 W. The Amazon listing linked here is sold by UGREEN.

Flying with a power bank: what the rules say

In short: Carry-on only, protect the terminals, and since March 2026 the international rules allow two power banks per person.

The FAA says spare lithium batteries and power banks must travel in carry-on baggage only and that lithium ion batteries are limited to 100 Wh each. With airline approval you may carry up to two spares of 101 to 160 Wh. It adds that many airlines have stricter limits. The FAA page was last updated on 11 August 2026. Looking at 20,000 mAh banks with a built-in cable instead? See our Anker vs Belkin power bank comparison.

IATA's guidance for airlines says that on 27 March 2026 the International Civil Aviation Organization added rules for power banks: carry-on only, no more than two per person, and no recharging the power bank on board. It also recommends not using a power bank to charge a device in flight. See the IATA guidance document and IATA's traveller page.

UGREEN's spec table lists 90 Wh, while Anker's page prints no watt-hour figure. At the common 3.6 V cell rating, 25,000 mAh is about 90 Wh, which is our own arithmetic for the Anker, so read the Wh printed on the label of the unit you buy and check your airline.
